The Red Van is a free and legal space for sex workers to bring their customers. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers who support sex workers’ rights.

Where are we located?
Our van is often moved around the Istedgade area but is usually parked on either Colbjørnsensgade, Helgolandsgade or Reverdilsgade. Depending on parking availability, it might be in other nearby streets. The van is available for use on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from midnight until 4 or 5 AM, depending on the season.
How does The Red Van operate?
During opening hours, the van is overseen by either 3 or 4 of The Red Van's volunteers. We are trained in de-escalation and first aid, and we are here to answer questions about the van and ensure everything runs smoothly. Our volunteers provide condoms, tea, and coffee.
Rules when using The Red Van:
No one under 18 years of age is allowed to use The Red Van
The average time spent in The Red Van is 15 minutes. If a queue starts forming, a volunteer will knock on the door to let those inside know that their time is almost up
